I trained as a joiner, then as a cabinetmaker, in Alsace. My workshop is now in Gerde, next to Bagnères-de-Bigorre.
I work simply: I listen, I tell you what is possible, I give you a clear price, and I do things properly. No salesman, no middleman: I answer the phone and I do the fitting in your home.
Every project told in photos: what was asked, how I did it, and which timbers I used.
An original laying fault, handled room by room instead of lifting the whole floor.
Wood fibre, Fermacell and Nordic pine panelling: the right solution for this particular project.
Polar white panelling and wood fibre, without disturbing the people who live in the house.
French walnut and hornbeam loose tenons: a one-off piece you will not find in a shop.
Worktops, splashback and appliances replaced, the units kept: selective renovation.
A complete renovation orchestrated as project manager, while the clients were on holiday.
All the pine windows and doors of a restored farmhouse, fitted with respect for the old building.
An off-the-shelf spiral staircase adapted to the room, with a Douglas fir guard rail built on site.
Solid sweet chestnut and hollow skirtings scribed against walls where nothing is straight.
Solid spruce and recessed, invisible angle brackets: carrying heavy loads while staying light on the eye.
Solid ash, push-to-open fronts, invisible fixings: clean-lined wall units built to the millimetre.
Solid oak on ash legs, not one carcass: an open kitchen that hugs an octagonal room.
Two ash grains, bespoke angled cuts: furniture that hugs the building.
White on the kitchen side, green on the façade side: the cold stays outside.
uPVC, aluminium and wood: the right material for each opening, with a single harmony.
90 m² of cracked boards because the wood had been constrained: cause treated, sanded back to bare wood, sealed with a matt lacquer.
Five worktops reworked, two replaced with new, seals and plumbing redone along the way.
A walk-in wardrobe under the slope, a landing unit and a bespoke door: a whole floor optimised.
Multiple sections on uneven ground, with natural shade from kiwi plants and vines.
Acoustic windows, re-insulated shutter boxes and a lined wall, without shutting down the rental.
Chocolate oak and spruce, in a space where no standard staircase would fit.
Fine cabinetmaking and traditional joints, for a one-off piece that will stay in the family.
The original oak beams kept and reinforced, to start again from a sound base.
Sanding, repairs and a natural finish to bring back its original charm.
Timber species chosen for the mountains, a ventilated frame and hidden fixings.
The questions I am asked most often, with honest answers. To help you decide, even if it is not with me.

“A huge thank you to Tom Klein! We are delighted with his work. The result is outstanding. His ability to listen really stood out: he guided us through our choices all along the project. He is a very serious craftsman, deeply committed and passionate about his work. We highly recommend him! We will certainly turn to Agencement Klein again!”
“I contacted Agencement Klein about a problem opening and closing my front door. He replied quickly and offered an appointment just as quickly, then adjusted my door so it sat properly in its frame again. The work carried out is perfect, my door is as good as new!! I have also followed the advice given by this professional, who took the time to explain how to keep my door well maintained. As I have a wardrobe project in mind, he also took the time to measure up and give me an estimate for possible future work. I dealt with a consummate professional whom I highly recommend.”
“On my daughter-in-law's advice, I entrusted the design of my kitchen to Tom. He offered to put down on paper the kitchen just as I imagined it, and built it entirely to measure, as it is an old house full of quirks, and the space set aside for the kitchen is no exception. He added his own personal touches, and frankly I am blown away by the result. What's more, there were no surprises compared with the quote given beforehand. I highly recommend Tom, he is an outstanding professional.”
“I saw Tom at work for an elderly person I care for as a home help. He is very attentive, warm and honest, and the result is perfect and built to last. I recommend him!”
“I have worked with Tom and his teams on 3 projects from 2022 to today. Joinery work and the complete renovation of a bathroom in our house in Bagnères-de-Bigorre. Always smiling and full of good advice. Among tradesmen that is a rare quality. Clean work, on schedule. Looking forward to the next one!”
“Tom Klein laid our floor and we are very happy with the result. He brought us much more than his technique: he made us think about several aspects of our project by asking very relevant questions. He offered several solutions, clearly explaining the pros and cons of each. Very attentive, takes his time, great experience. I recommend him without a second thought. And soon the renovation of our timber deck with him!”
“Agencement Klein really listened to my needs and gave good advice. The joinery fitting is spotless and precise. He is clear, simple and professional while keeping a lovely human warmth.”
“Tom built the kitchen of our dreams. We entrusted him with our house as we could not be there during the works, and on our return everything was clean. We recommend him without a second thought.”
“If you want perfect finishes and a first-rate craftsman, he is the one to call. A skilled craftsman and a perfect site manager, who knows how to run complete house renovations.”
“A year on, I am still very happy with all of the work. Quality workmanship, scrupulous respect of the announced schedule and prices. And all of it with no stress or worry of any kind!”
“Someone rigorous in his management, who prepares his jobs and honours deadlines and commitments alike. A real culture of work done well and of quality materials.”
“Good advice, given with kindness and courtesy, for my project of two bespoke wardrobes in Bagnères-de-Bigorre. The result matches my wishes. Serious work and great professionalism.”
“Faced with a technical constraint, he came up with a solution as ingenious as it is elegant: a unique Japanese-style staircase. The build quality, attention to detail and fineness of the finishes show remarkable craftsmanship.”
“I can vouch for his rigour and precision. As a true Strasbourg man he cares about work done well and done to quality. Someone trustworthy who will not let you down.”
“Tom has great ideas, real taste and a high standard of execution. He listens and advises. The relationship is simple and the work truly satisfying.”
“Installation of my kitchen using reclaimed units. Precise made-to-measure design and perfect execution, in a straw-built house near Tournay.”
“Careful, clean work, on schedule. He offers suitable solutions and adapts to particular constraints. A craftsman you can trust, I will call him again without hesitation.”
“His work is truly careful. What strikes me most is that he takes the time to listen to what people need before offering a solution. I recommend him without a second thought.”
“Very professional work, top notch!”
