A few words about my background and the way I work.
My name is Tom Klein. I learned joinery and then cabinetmaking in Alsace, as an apprentice.
Since 2018 I have lived and worked in the Pyrenees. My workshop is in Gerde, next to Bagnères-de-Bigorre.

I grew up in Alsace. I did two apprenticeships there: joinery first, then cabinetmaking. That is where I learned the basics of the trade, in the workshop and on site. The rest came with the work.
When I settled in the Hautes-Pyrénées, I built my house myself. The plans, the timber frame, the insulation, the electrics, the plumbing, the roofing: I did it all, trade by trade. It took time and it taught me a great deal. Today, when I open up a wall on a renovation, I know what I am going to find.
I have worked in large building firms and in small workshops, and I learned from both. The first showed me how to keep to a schedule, the second how to take care over a joint. I have also coordinated teams of tradesmen on complete projects, work I still enjoy.
I first traded under the name Menuiserie Klein d'Oeil. In 2025 the business became Agencement Klein: same person, same workshop. I make bespoke furniture, I fit windows, wood floors and decking, and I coordinate full renovations when the project calls for it.

Yes, from the plans to the last screw: timber frame, insulation, electrics, plumbing, roofing. It took me time and taught me a lot. That experience serves me on every renovation.
Joinery is still the heart of my trade. But I have seen too many projects go wrong for lack of organisation between the trades. Coordinating the complete project is a way of sparing my clients that.
On site: I only work with people I have seen at work. Reliable independent tradesmen, who respect your home and keep their word. It is a small circle, and I would rather it stayed that way.
