A kitchen designed for your room and the way you cook. As an artisan kitchen maker, I build every cabinet in my workshop in Gerde, without catalogue carcasses, and I fit it in your home, to the millimetre.
The kitchen is the room where everything happens. It should be beautiful, practical, and made for you: your height, your habits, your crockery, your room with all its quirks.
For the fronts and the worktops, anything is possible: solid wood, wood-veneered panels, or for tighter budgets. Each option has its advantages, and I explain them with samples in hand.
Inside the units, I take care of what you do not see: sturdy and quality , because that is what makes the difference after ten years of opening and closing.
My training as a cabinetmaker also lets me go further: a solid wood worktop, an open niche, a unit that echoes the wood floor in the living room. That is what bespoke fitted furniture means.
The gold-underlined words are explained on hover. All definitions are in the joinery glossary.
You call me and tell me about your project and what you would like. We set a date to meet at your home.
I measure the room, then create the plans and 3D views. We adjust them together until everything is right.
A firm price, item by item, with no surprises. You take the time you need to decide.
I build in the workshop, fit everything, adjust every door and every drawer. We check it all together.
There is not one price for a kitchen, there is a price per project. A kitchen entirely designed and built in my workshop, a kitchen that mixes standard carcasses with bespoke pieces, a flat-pack kitchen that I rework, adjust and fit: I do all three, and the budget is not the same. Tell me yours, and I will adapt the proposal.
The price mostly depends on the size of the kitchen, how it is built, the materials chosen for the fronts and the worktop, and the hardware. The detailed quote (devis) is free, and the price given is firm.
With a kitchen showroom, you adapt your room to the catalogue units. With me it is the other way round: I build the kitchen for your room, to the millimetre, including awkward corners, walls that are not straight and unusual heights. And the same person designs, builds and fits.
Whatever you prefer: I can supply and order them along with everything else, or you can buy them yourself, wherever you like. Either way I advise you on the dimensions and allow for the exact positions in the plans, and it always appears as a separate line on the quote so you can see what you are paying for. I also coordinate the plumbing and electrical connections with trusted tradesmen.
As a rule, allow 6 to 12 weeks after the quote is approved: time to draw the final plans, order the materials and build in the workshop. The fitting itself takes from 2 days to a week depending on the size of the kitchen.
Yes, if it is in good condition. We can keep base units and replace the fronts, keep a worktop, or build in a piece you are attached to. I tell you honestly what is worth keeping, and what is not. In Campan I did the opposite: the units stayed, and I reworked the five oak worktops, three sanded and revarnished, two replaced with new.
Both have their place. The carcasses are often made of panels, which are more stable in a humid room, and the fronts or the worktop can be in solid wood for character. Laminate remains an excellent choice for tighter budgets: sturdy, easy to live with, with a wide choice of finishes.
Call me and let's talk it over. The visit and the quote are free, and you decide in your own time. I speak English, so feel free to call or write in English.
